Marketing Director Job Description

General Purpose:

Responsibilities include overseeing all advertising (traditional and digital), public relations, church/ministry partners, social media, web site and other marketing strategies. Lead, enhance and execute marketing and communications campaign strategies to contribute to the overall ministry success.  Develop and implement ongoing strategies to continue to deepen the engagement and retain existing Capernaum and Mission Reality supporters.


  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people both within and outside of Capernaum and Mission Reality, and faithfully uphold the Capernaum and Mission Reality ministries in prayer.
  • Deepen engagement with donors, supporters and volunteers.
  • Foster a strong customer service attitude to ensure successful public relations.  
  • Understand the ministry calendar and strategically mobilize opportunities through various marketing and engagement channels.
  • Direct Capernaum and Mission Reality’s marketing communications strategy to drive increasing participation and retention among financial supporters and volunteer supporters.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or 3 to 5 years of marketing experience.
  • Other Preferred Skills: Experience in Peer to Peer Marketing, Mobilization Strategies

Travel Requirements: 

  • Occasional travel to conventions and seminars to work promotional expo booths.
  • Frequent visits to DFW metroplex area businesses, churches and chambers.
